About PMS colors
About the PMS color system
The Pantone Matching System, or 'PMS' in short, is a color system that is primarily used by graphic designers and printing companies. Through the color standardization printing companies are able to deliver printed materials that match the client demands. By using PMS colors you are sure of receiving print work in the right colors. Pantone colors are marked with an unique number followed by a letter. The letter indicates the type of paper. For example, C stands for coated, U for uncoated, and M for matt.
About this website
The website PMScolorguide.com provides an overview of all PMS colors. On this site you find colors which are part of the following PMS collections: Coated. The colors are divided into categories and you can look up a color using the color name or color code. Through the detail page of each color you can view a full-screen color impression. We also provide information about a color, such as the name (if available also in other languages) and matching color codes (HEX, RGB and CMYK). The website can also be used on smartphones.
Besides the free color information we also offer physical PMS color fan decks for sale. Because computer screens are note able to display the true PMS colors, we recommend to use a physical color fan deck to be sure of the correct color.
PMScolorguide.com is visited by many visitors everyday. We also target other countries with PMSkleuren.com, PMSfarben.de, CouleursPMS.fr, ColoriPMS.it and ColoresPMS.es. This website is an initiative of Whirlwind Internet, based in Uden (The Netherlands). From this location we ship the color fan decks to our customers on weekdays.
